Spring Pictures

Every year at school the kids get their fall pictures.  I am such a cheap-skate that I only buy the class photo.  You have to, it's fun to look back on those as an adult and remember (or in my case not remember) your class mates.  I tell the kids I can take your photo so we don't need to spend money on school photos.

Well, the schools have started something new, SPRING PHOTOS.  Why??  We just took photos 4 months ago, do the really change that much??  Anyway, I again tell the kids, they don't even need to take your picture because we won't be buying them.  I can take your photo.  This has worked in the past and they have never come home with photos, but not this year.  Since we changed school districts it looks like they do things differently.  They all came home with picture packets (Calvin even had two).  And Oh my I was tempted!  Instead I decided to take a snapshot to remember them and send them back.  But oh they are hilarious!

I think Miss's picture is beautiful!  She doesn't pose like this for me so it was extra hard to send them back.  But really, I just have to try harder to get her to pose for me like that.

And my boys look like such orphans.  Really, who sends their kid to school on picture day wearing a hoodie?  And what photographer doesn't say, hey kid take off your hoodie!  Anyway...   Calvin looks nice in the first one (despite the hoodie) but the second one just cracked me up!  They took a picture of him with one of his "life size" Pokemon he drew.  I laughed until I cried on that one!

And poor Owen just is at an awkward age.  Funky teeth growing in, mouth just a little small for them, and his mother doesn't dress him any more.  Good thing I have SO many other cute photos of him.

It really is just a fun memory of them at this age.  Next year we will either dress nicer or just see how bad I can send them to school and the photographer will actually take the picture.

Those cheaters! The hospital where Kamber was born did that - took her baby pictures and then mailed me a packet. I mailed them back, but they lost them then sent the bill to collections when I wouldn't pay it. I got out of it, but the whole process really irritated me. Such a waste of photo paper.

Looking at these pictures who would believe what little monsters they can be when their mother's back is turned.
