Daily Gems

After an exceptionally hard morning with Owen, I sat down to read my emails and there was this:

Daily Gems
Bearing Our Cross as Disciples
------------------------------

"The disciples of Christ receive a call to not only forsake the
pursuit of worldly things but to carry the cross daily. To carry the cross
means to follow His commandments and to build up His Church on the earth. It also means self-mastery (Alma 39:9, footnote b). As Jesus of
Nazareth instructed us, 'If any man will come after me, let him deny
himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me' (Luke 9:23).
'And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple' (Luke 14:27)."

It just made me think of "I didn't say it would be easy, I just said it would be worth it." The Lord knows I am strong enough, that's why he gives me the challenges he does. But if I keep moving towards him, even with my challenges (my cross), that is also why he gives me the blessings he does.

Top 10

I was tagged by my cousin Kristi. I don't usually do the tags, but this time I figured what the heck!

So my favs are... (in no particular order)

* My KitchenAid

this is, of course, not my KitchenAid, but it is one that I love! Some day I will upgrade and my new one will be pink or red. It's just too bad they are built so well and last a really long time! ;)

* Aprons

I LOVE aprons! Yaw'll know how I feel!
This is the one I am currently coveting!! Ain't she a beauty!
(too bad she's sold)

* The Bennion Compound

If I could live anywhere, I would love to live on or near my grandparents land in southern Missouri. It would take a while to get used to the humidity, but it would be worth it to raise my kids there!
(Love you Gma & Gpa!)

*Dill Pickles!

I'm pregnant! What can I say!

* Spicy Chicken Curry

Yummm.. The hotter the better, but oh boy do I pay!
But it's sooo worth it!
(I'll be trying a new recipe soon. I'll tell you how it is)

* Being the Primary Secretary

This really is the best calling out there!
I love the kids AND the list & calendars!
Perfect for a mommy with OCD!

* My vinyl cutter

As Lucy says, I just have too much fun with this thing!
She's right! But I love it...

* New York
Shawn & I went to Manhattan for our 10th anniversary (or so) and I have fallen in LOVE with the place! I ache to be there sometimes. I couldn't say what I love so much about it, I just love it all!

* Cute Ribbon

I don't do much with it, but I sure love to collect it!

* the Office

I am embarrassed to say, but I really didn't care for this show for a very long time! But I have repented and seen the light! I love this show. Unfortunately just it was just in time for the writers strike! So I am all caught up on previous seasons, excited for more, and there is nothing new! (I'm crying a little tear here..)

Thanks Kristi for the fun tag! I am not going to tag any one person, just have an open invitation to do this too! It's alot of fun! Just let me know when you have done your top 10. I'd love to see it!
