My Silly Sunshine!

Ten years ago today, I was woken up at 6:00am by a pain I had never felt before! I wasn't sure if it actually was labor or not. I was 9 days overdue, so I was pretty sure I was never going to have this baby just be forever pregnant. So I waited it out. I timed the contractions. I wasn't concerned at all. I figured that it wouldn't happen anytime soon, so I sent Shawn off to his half day of work on that Saturday. Well noon came and I was pretty sure it was happening today. But Shawn would be home soon, it was just a half day. Well 1 1/2 hours later he comes home to me at the door with suitcase in hand!! (I guess he had no idea I had been having contractions all morning) SO we dashed to the hospital and after 14 hours of labor we had a beautiful baby girl. Mississippi Raye Jackson! She is our silly sunshine! She is our loopy, happy, super friendly, huggable little girl. I love this picture because it is so her! Distracted by something, but always looking at things in her "rose colored glasses". If you look close enough you can even see her one brown eye and one green eye.

She doesn't know this, but tomorrow she is going to see Hannah Montana! (SQUEAL!!!) You might hear her squeal some time tonight, when we give her the tickets for her birthday.
