and I LOVED every minute of it!!!
Cyndi and I woke up WAY too early a few Saturday's ago and drive to Logan for a Time Out. But it was so FABULOUS! Hillary Weeks was the host. John Bytheway, Abe Mills, Laurel Christensen (the best speaker), and John Hilton III were the speakers. And Hilary Weeks, Cherie Call, Jenny Frogley, and Abe Mills all sang for us.

This is us while we were waiting for it to start. When we got there they gave us a bag of goodies. My favorite was a bag of tissues that said... "It was a 'six tissue' day-I loved it!" It was so true!!
(I'm sorry but I am going to try and breeze through and just jot down my favorite points.)

If you look really close... you can see John Bytheway. He was the first reason why we went. We LOVE his talks. He speaks mostly for the youth, but I'm pretty sure that's the level I'm on anyway. So, I had to go see him. He spoke on the YW values. And he knows the YW theme as good as anyone in the YW's I know! I was impressed. He started by saying when something bad happens to you, usually you ask, why does this happen to me. Well, because of the YW theme "We are daughters of our Heavenly Father who loves us and we love Him." He asked how would that statement change the question you ask or your thoughts? He said God has a micro plan for you in the Macro plan of salvation. I thought that was pretty cool.
Divine Nature: he asked, Did you look in the mirror and worry more about how your body looked or your spirit? And how we are soooo many generations away from Adam & Eve but we are only one generation away from our Father in Heaven. That was pretty cool also.
Individual Worth:
"the least worth individual, is worth worlds." (can't remember who said that!)
I am God's child and the Earth is just his hanywork. We are more important.
Knowledge: Why do we work so hard on things we can't take with us?
=Character, intelligence, and relationships are all things we can take with us.
Choice and Accountability: You can't pick up one end of the stick without picking up the other.
Alma 30- Satan wants you to think that there are no consequences. Don't make a "Kori-horrible" decision. Funny, huh!
Hilary Weeks sang and spoke to us. She reminded us to listen for God's answers after we pray. Take a second and sit there quietly, don't just jump up and go on with your day. And that we can hear better after we have read our scriptures. And that we shouldn't worry what others think of us. But we should worry how they feel about themselves when they are around us. When you make others feel good, you feel good.
Cherie Call then sand and spoke: "There are times when you are going to look for someone to make it easier for you. And sometimes that person will have to be you."

And then we went to lunch and had some super yummy grub! The meals were catered by he Lion House, YUMMY!

So after we were done with lunch we wondered around and I bought a cd. Just waiting around till it was going to start again. We wondered over to the bathrooms. Well, since this was a Time Out for"women" they found it necessary to convert one of the mens bathrooms into a ladies room. When we got there the ladies line was longer so we went to the men's room. Well, guess who we saw when we got in the bathroom, Hilary Weeks! We had hoped to get a picture of us with her, so why not in the men's room! ;) She was very gracious to say yes. And kinda surprised that no one had asked her before for a picture with her in the men's room... I have to say that was the silliest moment of our day!

After lunch it was just too fabulous! We hard some more singers and speakers. We were really impressed with Laurel Christensen. She was an excellent speaker we had never heard before.
- God has always known me.
- Prayer is critical!
- The spirit speaketh truth and lieth not
- I might call myself "the girl who isn't _____ enough". But what would Heavenly Father call me? "Wise daughter", "trusted one", "Gifted Daughter"?
- He has a name for you and He knows who He sent you here to be.
- What if you really believed you were who God knows you to be.
- She had us say to our neighbors "You have no idea who you are sitting next to!"
- She had a mom and daughter come up to the stage and we all gave them a standing ovation! People need more standing ovations!!
After some more singing (which was all so fabulous). John Hilton III spoke. He was so very funny! Like a funny little brother. I will alway be grateful to him for teaching us about the "akward turtle". Too funny! His talk was geared mostly to the girls, but it was still fabulous.
So after the Time Out was over, we weren't quite ready to be out of Time Out! We figured we still needed to "think about what we had done". ;) So we played in Logan for a bit longer.

And so we had to take silly pictures with Wendy hair! I am a little upset with Cyndi for not sending me her Wendy picture along with all the others, but what can ya do! ;)
So that was our day! A glorious day without husbands or children. I do think all mommies should have a time out on a regular basis!!
