Tomorrow morning we are heading out on our summer vacation! We are hoping to leave at 8am. I haven't started packing, so wish me luck! But I'm excited! Tomorrow we are driving 10 hours to South Dakota! We are going so we can visit my sister Sarah. She is working at a Boy Scout camp there in the Black Hills. We will also stop and see Mt Rushmore and Mammoth Site. The next day we are going to a Kool-Aid museum! We found it 3 years back when we were coming back from Nauvoo, IL. It is just a fantastic place with just about everything for everyone! After that we are heading to Bartlesville, Oklahoma and the reunion. Which is just gonna be so much fun seeing everyone again. I haven't see most of my moms family since the Nauvoo reunion 3 yrs ago! So it'll be great. I am so happy that Shawn was able to get time off work to go with us, but unfortunately he is flying home on July 4th.
After the reunion the kids and I will be going on to Missouri to stay at my grandparents house! This I am really looking forward to!! I get to visit with my grandma & grandpa and my "cousin"/aunt who is only 2 years older than me! And the kids will get to play with GOBS of cousins, run, explore, and see fireflies!! I just have to watch Missi and the mosquitoes and chiggers! That girl is so allergic to the bites. But we will have band aids and Benedryl cream.
We are going to leave in 10 hours so I guess I should go pack! Have a happy and safe 4th of July! And I'll see ya in 2 weeks.
